Inspired by each chef’s cultural heritage, these unconventional dishes celebrate the Year of the Dragon’s themes of new challenges, embracing change and taking risks.

Meet The Chefs

Cassie Yeung

Cassie has quickly become a household name thanks to her viral videos and recent national television appearances. The New Jersey native -- and current Philadelphia resident -- is best known for her savory recipes and use of authentic ingredients inspired by her Chinese American upbringing.

Peking Chicken McNuggets®

Cassie reimagines the classic Peking duck recipe by replacing the duck with McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets®. Mimicking the crispiness of duck skin through a quick air fry and tossing it with McDonald’s Sweet ‘N Sour sauce, honey, oyster sauce, and rice vinegar, this dish is served in a bao bun with scallions and cucumbers for a delightful celebration of flavor.

Ronnie Woo

Author of the best-selling debut cookbook, Did You Eat Yet?, Ronnie is known for his all-American Asian-inspired recipes. An accomplished Korean American chef, the Seattle native and former model is a frequent guest on numerous cooking programs and talk shows.

Spicy McCrispy™ Dumplings

Ronnie infused Korean-style dumplings with the flavorful delight of the Spicy McCrispy™ Chicken Sandwich and paired them with a tangy General Tso's dipping sauce. The dumplings, which resemble money pouches, are believed to symbolize fortune and prosperity for the coming year.

Tue Nguyen

As the host of multiple cooking shows and co-owner of LA hotspot DiDi, Tue is a rising star in the culinary world. The Vietnamese American chef is known for combining traditional ethnic flavors with a modernized flair.

Big Mac® Egg Rolls

Tue crafted her own spin on the deep-fried delicacy that’s a family favorite during the holiday. Its golden hue and rectangular shape symbolize wealth and prosperity, earning it special reverence during Lunar New Year.

Brenda Nguyen

Also known as the Wandering Boston Eater, Brenda is a chef and blogger who travels across the country to explore people and culture through the catalyst of food. When she’s not on the road, the Vietnamese American chef is recreating her family recipes in her own unique style and sharing them with the world.

Chicken McNuggets® Thit Kho

Brenda reinterprets Thit Kho, a classic Vietnamese braised pork dish, with Chicken McNuggets®. Her recipe features the McNuggets® tossed in a caramelized fish sauce and served over rice for a flavorful Lunar New Year culinary experience.
